We enjoyed an amazing fireworks show here in the Sepik region of Papua New Guinea on New Year’s Eve. Almost everyone buys their own fireworks and sets them off at all hours, with the pinnacle of the fireworks occurring at midnight. It is just amazing to watch, and to think of each firework as a celebration of another blessing that God gave us in 2014. It is quite exciting and encouraging to think how they also can represent the many blessings He is going to give us in 2015. The sky lights up with large fireworks close by and tiny fireworks across the bay for hours. It was incredible to witness such an unplanned fireworks show. 🙂
We are looking forward to the New Year and all that God has planned for us. We know that we can trust him with our lives, even the small details of our lives. And as things change, we can have peace, knowing that He is an organized God. A God who loves us and has planned this year out for us, for our good and for His glory. Even when things seem unorganized and unplanned in our eyes, God has it all figured out. 🙂
We are excited to start planning for Chery Devine’s (Jacob’s mom) arrival in PNG at the end of May, as she will be coming to help out by taking care of Jonathan while we are in Madang region working with the Interface program once again for the months of June and July. We are excited about this, yet also a bit nervous, as it is something that we have been a part of before but now it has changed in appearance. Yet the same purpose is still there, to teach and challenge people about missions. We know God is still using the Interface program and that is exciting!
We are also looking forward to the end of 2015 as we get ready for our home assignment, leaving PNG in mid-November for about 7 months at home. We are excited to see a lot of you again and share what God has been doing here in PNG! It looks to be an exciting year and we are looking forward to watching God work.

- David and Wendy Lee as they pray about returning to minister to the Bena people because the Fosters are unable to return at this time due to health.
- More labors to minister to the Bena people.
