Dear Friends,
Happy Easter! He is Risen! May your hearts be filled with Joy!
We wanted to update you on a few quick things!
Hector should have his Green Card interview mid-April. Please pray for all to go smoothly with that. Also for Amy to know where she should have baby #2. (In Florida, but what Doc is not settled at this point).
Tim and Charity’s wedding is coming fast. May 9 they “tie the knot” in Wisconsin. Many details have to come together here too!
Brett and Debby are doing well in language study in Nicaragua. The Grand-girls love it there.
Here is a quick update on the Pal group in PNG who recently heard the Gospel:
“The past few weeks can be summed up in three words: really bad weather! We had a translation check that went really well and resulted in two Bible books that are ready to be printed (Exodus and Mark), but in the middle of that Maggie got jolted by lightning that struck somewhere really close to our house. Next came two weeks of really high winds that blew part of our coworkers’ roof off, kept us up at night worrying about the solar panels being carried away and smashed to smithereens, and almost prevented the helicopter from making it in here to take our visitors home on schedule.
And now the wind has abated, but what remains is a storm of lies and misinformation that the Pal people are trying to wade through. They show no signs of losing interest in God’s Word, but there are other things that they want to believe that will keep them from growing if they don’t reject them in favor of the truth. Please pray for them as they try to weather this storm of deceit and worldly desire, and pray for us as we continue to show them the most excellent way. “
Please keep these folks in your prayers!
This time of year we keep busy with Taxes, and Linda is doing a short Easter Choir Cantata at church as well. We pray it will be a blessing and encouragement to all who come.
Our dear friends here are having a yard sale to raise funds for their move to Central Asia this Fall. Pray for the Shady family. Thanks!
We thank you for your prayers and support for our ministry.
You’re the greatest!
George and Linda
