Torre and Narah Meissner

Serving Him WITH you

About

Hello!  Thanks for taking the time to find out more about the Meissner family.

Torre: I grew up in Burley, Idaho.  I accepted Christ as my savior when I was 24 and shortly thereafter went to the New Tribes Bible school in Jackson, Michigan.  I did not go there with missions in mind, just a heart to know more about God and His Word.  After two years at the Bible school and one wife later we decided to go on with the training with New Tribes Mission in Missouri.  Through these last few years I have been convinced that it is not right that there are so many people in the world that know little to nothing about the truth of God.  Narah and I are filling one small role to get the gospel to people that would otherwise never have an opportunity to have a personal relationship with God.

Narah: I grew up in Jackson, Michigan.  While in high school I took a short term missions trip to Paraguay, South America.  While there the team helped to build a school for kids whose parents were missionaries (MK’s).  I saw that missionaries were indeed real people!  :-)   It was during that trip I decided, “I want to be a teacher, they need teachers, I’ll be a missionary teacher.”  It was in my senior year at Spring Arbor University that Torre came to my (our) church.  We dated for a year and then were married in October, 2004.

We have completed two years at the New Tribes Bible Institute and a year at the New Tribes Missionary Training Center in Missouri.  In August 2008 we moved to Mexico.  After studying Spanish for two years and teaching in the school for missionary kids for nine months, we were asked to take over the Guest House ministry in El Paso.  After much prayer in this huge ministry change, we knew the Guest House was where God wanted our family.  In November 2010 we moved to El Paso!

Turin was born on December 24, 2007.  He loves all the “friends” that come through the guest house and is learning to help!  IMG_3565
