A return to the “English” world

Family Photo - July 2007After packing our van to the brim we started out on our overnight journey to Michigan. We figured this would be the least painful way to make to the 13 hour trip from Quebec to Michigan. The boys did great! They fell asleep and didn’t wake up until we were about an hour from home and even then they weren’t quite ready to get up. Our van was one of the lucky vehicles to be chosen for the random search at the bridge. So, at 5:30 in the morning, we had to wake the boys up and take them inside while they searched our van. Thankfully, it didn’t take long and we were back on the road.

Now, we are here in Michigan and we are enjoying our time here with our family and friends. It’s been great to get back into the three small groups that we were a part of before we left for Canada. It’s always great to be able to share about our time in Canada and the ultimate reason for all the time that we are studying French.

Gramma is very happy to have “her boys” home for the summer. The whole family has been able to get together quite a bit so far and the boys are always thrilled to be with them. Summertime is great for all those outdoor events and picnics in the backyard.

Our days and nights are busy, but we are having lots of fun and creating lots of great memories!
