As many of you know, we arrived back to the States just three weeks ago. From one day to the next, we went from the high temperature of 92 in the Philippines to 42 in Michigan. One day, in the Philippines, we were wearing shorts and flip-flops. The next day, in Michigan, the apparel was socks, shoes, pants, and sweatshirts. Many of our friends and churches knew this climate change was going to be a shock for our family and shared their coats with us right away. One of our churches, Bethel Baptist, threw a Winter Shower for our family. They provided winter clothes for our kids from their toes to their heads: socks, pants, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, scarves, and hats, too. What a wonderful Winter Blessing that God provided through this caring church! As the picture below shows, our kids are very thankful for their generosity and love toward them. Thank you again, Bethel Baptist Church.
We are also thankful to be “home” during this time of the year. Our church here, Jenison Bible, has provided turkey and some of the fixings for our Thanksgiving meal. We are blessed to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with Ginger’s parents. As we count our blessings, we are reminded that God’s richest blessings are His Son Jesus and the people that are a part of our lives, including you. God’s bountiful care for us continues to overflow, and we are blessed beyond measure. Thank you for being a part of God’s bountiful blessings in our lives!
