NTM has produced a new 10 minute video about a Mui man and his journey from fear of spirits to faith in God. The AWAYO video will demonstrate the power of God in changing tribal lives for His glory. Check it out at www.ntm.org/video/
We became involved with New Tribes Mission to see unreached people groups reached for salvation. We are always excited when we hear of tribal people joining us in the family of God. Your part in our ministry at NTM Homes enables us to serve retired NTM missionaries, many of whom havepioneered bringing the gospel to unreached people groups and won many souls for God. Thank you for supporting us with your prayers and gifts, making it possible for us to minister to these retired folks.
In fact, we have many things to be thankful for:
Our family has enjoyed good health.
God is continuing to provide for our needs in spite of our low support level.
Our car is fixed and running well.
God’s goodness and mercies every day.
Please be praying with us about the following:
Continued good health
The kids continue to do well in school
An increase in our support to match the increase in our necessary support level.
That we would be used of God in the manner He chooses.
October Prayer Request
Pray for Scott as he decides with his neurologist if and when he should discontinue his anti-seizure medication.
Pray for NTM Homes as we look to the Lord to provide the funds and permission from the city to begin building the multi-purpose addition.
Pray for Carissa as Lynn home schools her in 9th grade. Pray for Ian (7th grade) and Austin (2nd grade) to honor God in all they do.
Pray for Scott and Lynn to be a blessing to those they serve here at NTM Homes.
October News
A little over a year ago Scott had a seizure, his first ever and we praise God that he has not had another one in this past year. He takes an anti-seizure medication with the side effect of leaving him exhausted at the end of the day. In November he will meet with his neurologist to decide if he can discontinue taking this medicine. Pray for wisdom in discontinuing the anti-seizure medication and the possible side effects that may come as he weans off the medicine.
We are praising the Lord for the new retiree residents that have joined us in the past few months. We have about 100 duplexes for retirees and the Latham Center, an Assisted Living Facility. All of our duplexes are full and few are under renovations for the new retirees on a waiting list to move in. The Latham Center has two wings, one is for independent residents and the other is for those needing a little nursing assistance. As of last week, our Independent wing is completely full. There are plans to build a multi-purpose addition (larger chapel and office area) to the Latham Center which will also give us more rooms for independent living residents. We are waiting on the city of Sanford to approve the plans and the needed funding. We praise God for the funds that have been received and we ask prayer for the remaining funds to start building.
We are thankful for the cooler temps lately. We get excited when the temps dip down to 68 in the mornings (yes, I know you northerners are smirking). As Scott maintains the 40 acres of property the summer heat and humidity takes a toll on him, cooler temps and less humidity are a very welcome change.
