RECALDE REFLECTIONS
Dear Friends,
Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Greetings from Paraguay, land of lace and harps. We hope this letter finds you rejoicing in the many blessings of our Heavenly Father.
Thank you very much for your prayers for us in our new ministry with the New Tribes Mission mobilization department, which involves challenging the National Churches here in Paraguay to become more involved in reaching Tribal People for Christ and also assisting the local churches in training, equipping, and sending Paraguayan missionaries to plant churches among the unreached in Paraguay and around the world.
Please pray for this team from the Rio Grande Bible Institute which is located in Texas.
They are coming to spend a week among the Pai Tavytera Tribe this coming May. They plan to help us with several projects including a cement floor for our little church out at the Indian Colony.. We are really excited!
Recently, Samuel was able to make a trip along with our co-worker, Mike Goddard to visit our little Church out at the Indian Colony where we worked during our last two terms.
We weren’t sure what they would find, since we have been in the U.S.A. for the last two years. What a joy it was to find that the group of faithful Tribal believers have continued meeting together to worship God and to study the Bible and they even saved from the little that they have to buy paint and they painted the little church building.
Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
The weekly ladies Bible study group, which Tracy started several years ago had become discouraged after we left and stopped meeting for awhile, but then God spoke to the heart of Mamila, who had helped Tracy for so long with the teaching and she encouraged the other ladies to begin meeting together again on Saturdays to study God’s word and Pray together. How exciting to see how God has been working in the hearts and lives of the believers in our absence!
This is Justino. He is holding in his hand a little audio bible which missionary Mike Goddard just presented to him. The only reason that you cannot see on his face the excitement and joy that he is feeling is because in his culture, they do not want to show their teeth by smiling for a picture.
Justino is one of the faithful believers from our little Church at the Indian Colony where we ministered for several years.
Over the years several missionaries (including Samuel) have tried to teach Justino how to read without success. Up until now, Justino has had to rely on his wife and children to read the Bible to him.
Recently Samuel and our new co-worker, Mike Goddard, went to visit the Indian Colony and were able to give Justino this little piece of new technology which is an audio Bible in the Guarani language.
Now Justino can listen to the Bible all he wants and doesn’t have to wait until someone has time to read to him. He is so excited and thankful to God for supplying this answer to his prayers!
News from NTM Paraguay:“New Tribes Mission missionaries here in Paraguay are evaluating whether to begin a church planting ministry among the Guarani Nandeva people. A group of our missionaries recently went and visited several Guarani Nandeva communities and were very encouraged. Please pray for wisdom for our leadership team and the missionaries who are evaluating the information gathered, discussing options and seeking God’s will about ministry among the Guarani Nandeva people.” http://usa.ntm.org/field-news/a-successful-visit
More news from NTM Paraguay: http://usa.ntm.org/field-news/pai-prayers-answered “The Tribal church at one of the Indian Colonies (many of you will remember this work that we opened up several years ago along with another missionary family, Steve & Sarah Holmes) has a new brick building to meet in, and a group of Paraguayan youths got a closer look at church planting among remote people groups. The believers had been praying for a brick building for years, and putting aside money from their weekly offerings, but were still far short of what they would need. Our coworkers, Mike and Trisha Goddard launched out by faith with the project. They wrote, “The Lord supplied $5,065 toward the building materials and 16 volunteers to get the majority of the project finished in a three-week period.” The Tribal believers helped with construction, and stepped in to finish up after the short-term team left. Thank God for His provision for the Pai church. Pray that the young people who went to help will grow in their understanding of God’s work among unreached people groups and in their desire to serve Him.”
(pictured is our new co-worker, Mike Goddard handing over the keys to the new church building to one of the Tribal believers)
Thank you VERY much for your prayers, encouragement and support! We are so grateful for your partnership! You are an important part of what God is doing in reaching Tribal People for Christ.

Recaldes in Paraguay
Dear Friends and Co-workers, January 2012
Greetings from hot and muggy Paraguay! Yes, we are in the middle of Summer here. We are thankful that God sent some rain our second day back and it stayed a bit cooler for a couple of days which helped us to adjust.
We just wanted to let you know that I am working on a letter to send to you by snail-mail, but since I don’t have a computer or printer yet, am hand writing all of our correspondence which will take me awhile and also the mail is slow and uncertain. We just found out that it costs two dollars now to send a letter from Paraguay to the U.S.A., so we will need to wait for whenever someone travels to the States and is willing to take packages of mail back for us. But I promise that I will get a “real” letter sent to you as soon as possible.
Nathan will be attending the Christian Academy here in Asunción. It is is English and our oldest daughter, Rachael graduated from there several years ago.
We are shipping our van from Florida and we just heard that the ship is scheduled to leave Miami tomorrow. When our vehicle arrives, we plan to make periodic trips interior to visit, teach and encourage our little Church at the Indian Colony, Tava Amboae where we worked during our last two terms.
Recalde Prayer and Praise

- We are so thankful for the time we were able to spend with our girls and grand babies during our time of Home assignment.
- For the privilege we had of serving our Lord for a year and a half at the NTM HOMES.

Prayer
- Please pray that our vehicle will arrive safely and quickly.
- Please pray that it will rain more here. The Paraguay river is very low right now because of the drought.
- Please pray for Nathan, as he adjusts to a new school and makes new friends.
- Please Pray for our four girls we left behind in the U.S.A. It’s not easy!
- Adjustment for us being stationed in Asuncion with new responsibilities helping with the mobilization work this term
- Please continue to pray for our little church out at the Indian Colony and for us to have wisdom in how to help and encourage them on an itinerant basis.
Thank you very much for your help and prayers!

RECALDE CHRISTMAS LETTER 2011
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go f or us?
Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Dear Friends and Co-workers, DECEMBER 2011
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Recalde family!
We want to thank you very much for your faithfulness in supporting us financially and in prayer! Thank you for being our co-workers!
We have all that is necessary for our return to Paraguay and we are ready to continue in the work that God has given us in helping to reach those who have not heard with the Good news of Jesus Christ.
The Lord provided airline tickets at a good price and we fly out of Orlando, Florida on January 10th, so our next prayer letter will come to you from Asuncion, Paraguay.
It has been our privilege to serve at the NTM HOMES this last year. Thank you for your prayers for our family during our time here!
We feel that we were able accomplished most of what we came to the U.S.A. to do during the last two years.
We Praise The Lord that Kristina and Nathan have adjusted so well to life here in the U.S.A. so that it won’t be such a drastic adjustment for them to live here as adults.
Samuel was also able to get his green card (permanent residence card) which was a huge answer to prayer.
Please continue to Pray for us as we return to Paraguay on January 10, 2012.
It will not be easy to leave all four of our girls and three grand babies behind this time and will surely be an adjustment for Nathan as well, being the only child at home now.
Our New Tribes Mission field leadership have notified us of a few changes in our ministry in Paraguay this time.
We will be stationed in Asuncion and help with the mobilization work this term which consists of challenging and helping the national Paraguayan churches to become involved in reaching Tribal people for Christ.
We also plan to make periodic trips interior to visit, teach and encourage our little Church at the Indian Colony.

SEPTEMBER 2011
Luke 10:2 And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Dear Friends,
Greetings from the Recalde family. We hope this letter finds you well and rejoicing in the many blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s hard to believe that it is September again already. This year is going by so fast and yet it has been a very difficult year of stretching for us and learning to rely more on God than ever before. We praise our Lord who never leaves us nor forsakes us!
We want to thank you very much for your prayers and financial support! We PRAISE the Lord for each one of you who partner with us!
NTM HOMES
We continue to serve our Lord here at the NTM HOMES at this time. Samuel and the other guys on the construction and maintenance crew have made amazing progress on the Homes’ chapel/multipurpose building!
Please pray, as the guys are dealing with above average heat this year.
I keep busy working as receptionist at the front desk and also with some of the housekeeping for some of our retirees. I also took another medical class to update my CPR certification. Since we work with elderly people, it is important to know what to do in case of a medical emergency. Here are some prayer and praise from our retirees:
1. Pray for the Foster family and Wilhelmson family as they adjust to the recent passing of their loved ones.
2. Martha Winslow is feeling a little better but still suffering from headaches and a painful jaw. Pray for complete healing.
3. Connie Cain is waiting for the results from his heart cath., pray for the doctors to have wisdom about what
to do with the results.
4. Pray for Loretta Haslam having chemo treatments.
5. Please pray for our retirees who are no longer able to live at NTM HOMES. They are in local nursing homes because of health issues that we are not equipped to handle.

OUR KIDS
Please continue to pray for our kids, that they will make wise choices in their lives.
Our daughter, Kristina has also been helping here at the NTM HOMES since she graduated from high school this year. She has mostly been cleaning at the assisted living facility here. Kristina started attending the Seminole State College last week. We would appreciate your prayers for her in this new chapter of her life.
PARAGUAY
Please Pray for the land of Paraguay. Pray especially for the country’s leaders and that we will continue to have freedom to teach God’s Word there. Please remember to Pray for our little Church there in Tava Amboae and for the Tribal leaders there as they teach God’s Word to their People in our absence.
Thank you very much for your help and prayers! Thank you for being our co-workers!

February 2011

Dear Friends, February 8, 2011
2 Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
How are you all? We are doing fine and keeping busy here at the NTM HOMES this year. Samuel continues working with the construction/maintenance crew and the progress on the multipurpose/chapel building is amazing. Please continue to Pray for safety for the guys working on it. I (Tracy) work as receptionist at the front desk and also with housekeeping for some of our retirees amongst other things.
Have you ever had the opportunity to thank the people who were responsible for you hearing the Gospel? We Praise God for the opportunity He has given Samuel to do that very thing this year as we work here at the NTM homes where the missionaries who led his parents to the Lord many years ago are now retired. Samuel says “If these New Tribes missionaries had not gone to Paraguay and told my parents and Grandmother about God, then I would not know Him and be serving Him today.”
We want to thank you very much for your gifts through New Tribes Mission! We really appreciate your help and Prayers!
Please continue to Pray for our Tribal brother and sisters back in Paraguay. Recently they discovered how to text us from their cell phones to ours here in the U.S.A. It has been wonderful to keep in touch that way and they ask for us to pray because false teachers who twist the truth of God’s Word have begun attending our little Church there. Please Pray that the Tribal Church leaders will have wisdom in dealing with this problem.
We are so grateful for your partnership! You are an important part in what God is doing in reaching Tribal People for Christ through New Tribes Mission. Thank you again for your prayers and support! Thank you for being our coworkers!

RECALDE REFLECTIONS-JANUARY 2011

Dear Friends and Co-Workers, God Is At Work!!
Another year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. God has been wonderful and faithful through it all. We hope 2010 was a big year for you as it was for our family. During this year God has also stretched us and helped our faith to grow ever stronger. We praise the Lord for walking beside us though all the changes the year brought and we are looking to what he has for us in 2011.
After our year of home assignment, we are still at 30% of our monthly support level recommended by New Tribes Mission! We pray that the Lord will add those who will partner with us in prayers and financial support.
Please continue to pray for our kids, their emotional & spiritual well-being. They are doing well, but often have sad days when it’s hard to adjust to the U.S.A. and they miss their friends a lot. Pray that they can make new and meaningful friendships. Pray that they can grow in their walk with God and trust Him in these adjustments.
We praise the Lord that Tracy has only had one major migraine episode since arriving here! Thank you to those of you who wrote us, gave us good advice and encouraged us!
Please continue to pray for each of our tribal locations in Paraguay. Pray that God will work in the hearts of the people to see their need for Christ. Pray for the new missionaries who have arrived recently as they learn the language & culture so that they can share God’s Word with them soon!
Please Pray for us as we serve in our ministries here at the NTM HOMES. Reaching tribal people with the Gospel requires a large team of Christians each working together in the ministry that God has given them. Some are working at the Bible schools, teaching, training and preparing young people to go. The tribal missionaries in remote places of the world depend heavily on the support team back here at the U.S.A. headquarters in Sanford, Florida who meet their needs and keep things running smoothly while they continue in their tribal ministry. Isn’t it great to see how God has put the body of believers together with all their diverse talents? Using those gifts to further the gospel?
We want to thank you for your part in reaching tribal people with the good news of Jesus Christ through your support, prayers and love! We are grateful to you for your sacrifices.
Thank you for being part of our team! Keep shining your light wherever God places you in this dark world…
In Christ’s Service,
Samuel, Tracy and Family

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE RECALDE FAMILY
Dear Friends,
John 14:6 (King James Version) 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!We are so happy that our daughter, Rachael has arrived here now. She is in the process of moving here to Florida from Chicago. We had our little two year old grandson, Chance Christopher, with us for several weeks while Rachael (she is a nurse) stayed in Illinois, working many extra hours in order to be able to buy out her lease for the apartment that she has been renting there. Please Pray for Rachael and little Chance as they get settled into their new home here. Right now, she is waiting for her nurse license to transfer from Illinois State to Florida. Kristina, our senior in high school and Nathan, our seventh grader are adjusting well and doing good in the public school here. Samuel keeps busy working on maintenance and construction here at the NTM HOMES. Right now the guys are hard at work on the construction of a large chapel/multi-purpose building.
Tracy loves working as receptionist at the front desk and also helps out with housekeeping for some of our residents here among other things.
Please Pray for our dear Tribal brothers and sisters back home in Paraguay, that they will continue to mature Spiritually and learn to rely on God alone in our absence. Please Pray especially for the believers, that they will be faithful to teach God’s Word to their own People.
We have so much to be thankful for during this holiday season. We are happy in our ministry that God has given us for a year here at the NTM Retirement Homes.
We are still only at 30% of the support that New Tribes Mission recommends for a family our size, but our God who knows all and sees all continues to provide all of our needs.
We really appreciate your Prayers, support, love and encouragement over the years. We Pray that God may bless you and give you a wonderful holiday season.
Jesus is the Reason for the Season
