Training Center a Big Encouragement

We’ve landed here in the middle of Ozarkland, Missouri. How do we know? Well, the giant warehouses full of souvenir junk glittering in the 90 degree sun may have been our first clue. The excitement built as we neared the school. Sharon and I put on our geeky hiking eyes as we surveyed the landscape with an eagerness to explore the many hillsides and parks that dot the landscape here.

Sharon’s parents and sister were kind enough to drive the eleven hours with us and help us unload and settle into our new home for the next two years. Our belongings fit in the tiny one-bedroom apartment… sorta. It’s cozy now, but we felt pretty sorry for the folks pulling up to their tiny apartments with 20 foot UHauls full of stuff. There are so many people here we know it’s almost overwhelming. Catching up with friends became our first order of business as we traveled the campus acquainting ourselves with our new environment. The administration and staff here have been so friendly and easy to talk to and our neighbors in our apartment building are friends from the Bible Institute in Jackson.
