Here’s a new edit of our Get Ready…GO! video. This one is 2:40 minutes. Our first version is 3:41 minutes.

Planting a church among an unreached people group is tough. That’s why New Tribes Mission provides ongoing training that equips you for each challenge you will face.

September Update

Jason’s Prayer
We’ve finished another video called Jason’s Prayer (2:35).  Jason prays for the Siawi church leaders.    The other two videos we made recently are Siawi Bible Translation and Footsteps, a video interview with Lisa Kappeler.  The videos are being translated into Norwegian and Spanish.

Thanks  for praying for these short videos from Papua New Guinea.  I’m excited that we’re able to put these out.  Please pray we’ll create one or more  challenging  videos from the student interviews recorded at the Missionary Training Center earlier this year.

Fall Adventures

I’m taking a “short story” screenwriting class at UCF this fall, and it’s going really well so far.  Please pray that I’ll be able to apply what I learn to strengthen my work for New Tribes Mission.  I’m planning to lead music for a woman’s retreat with my church this weekend; please pray that it will glorify God and encourage the women.  That’s about all I’m up to this fall, except for experiencing a canoe tipping with friends…

Siar to Hear Gospel

Please  pray for the Siar people of Papua New Guinea, as they hear the culmination of several months of Bible study with a Gospel presentation on September 30th.

Pray also that I will stay strong in the Word.  Thanks!

Here’s a video I just finished editing!

Take a glimpse into a missionary life as Bible Translator Lisa Kappeler talks about living with the Uriay people of Papua New Guinea.  The church planting team completed evangelistic Bible lessons in September 2010.

Another video!

New Tribes missionary Jason Swanson prays for the Siawi church.

New Tribes Mission seeks to establish mature churches among people who are isolated from the gospel. After teaching chronologically in the tribes’ own language and culture, believers are discipled to lead the church and partner in the Great Commission.

Thanks for your faithful prayers for my ministry.  Without God, our human
“accomplishments” amount to nothing. It is only by His power that we yield
everlasting fruit.

Siawi Bible Translation

Macon and Dale had a great trip to Papua New Guinea. They came back with great interviews and photos. Here is the first video I finished editing:

The growing church among the Siawi people is learning to function on its own, after years of discipleship and teaching God’s Word. But Linda’s job isn’t finished yet.
