About
Ralph & Kim Lewis work among the Kui people of north central Cambodia. The Kui are believed to be the original inhabitors of an area that spans much of Cambodia, eastern Thailand and southern Laos. The Kui of Cambodia do not have a written form of their language nor do they have any portions of God’s precious word translated into their heart language.
The Kui are subsistance farmers with both gardens hewn from the jungles and large rice fields. Many of the Kui hunt and fish and also harvest resin from the huge trees in the jungle.
In an effort to ‘bridge’ the gap and to develop strong relationships among the Kui the Lewises have taken on several different development projects to include: drilling wells, distributing safe water solutions, building bridges and constructing a medical center. All of these projects have helped to build trust with the Kui.
