Phil and Elin Henderson For Occasional Updates... VISIT TO THE ETHNOLOGY MUSEUM
During our time in the city I (Phil) was able to take the kids to the local museum of ethnology. I remember visiting years ago and this time the kids came along. They enjoyed seeing in a museum many things they see every day in the village.

GETTING TO A VILLAGE
One of the villages we visited on the survey was inaccessible by truck so we trekked in 7 km by foot.

Next to one of the Ngoni villages that we visited was a high hill. We climbed up and got to experience a bird’s eye view of the village.
HAPPY EASTER!
Happy Easter from Mozambique! We are enjoying our short stay here in town. Phil just returned from his time up North. He will be posting some pictures and excerpts from his trip shortly. Just a few more days and we will be heading back to the village and preparing for the return of our colleagues.
ADOPT A PET
Our friends where we are staying, have a lovely black lab that our kids have officially adopted. The dog devotedly follows them all over the house and they love her companionship!
VISAS APPROVED
After several days delay we were finally able to renew our visas for another year! We haven’t received the “hard copy” visa but while we wait were given a receipt that is equally recognized. We thank the Lord for His provision for this both financially, as it is very expensive, and also for the opportunity to serve here another year. Please pray that we will receive the “hard copy” visas before we leave for home assignment in June.
SURVEY TIME
Phil along with 4 other men are currently travelling to survey a people group to see of the possibility of placing a church planting team there in the future. Among the 4 men are two religious leaders from our village who are going along to share their experience with the Word of God. Please pray for safety for them as they travel as well as wisdom and direction as they interact with different officials and village leaders.
JUST HANGING AROUND
While Phil is away on survey, the kids and I (Elin) will hang out here in the city, visiting with friends. We enjoy having the time to connect with folks and also to skype friends and family in other parts of the world (something we can’t do from the bush).
