Paul and Faith Wyma are presently serving at our Missionary Training Center in central Missouri.
“We are very aware that this job is far bigger than us,” Paul wrote. “And we’re leaning heavily on the fact that our God is the great Enabler. We’re extremely aware of our dependence on the Lord and covet your prayers as we are training a new generation of missionaries, for God’s honor and glory.”
At two years of age, Paul traveled to Bolivia with his parents. Paul’s dad, Mel Wyma, was a missionary pilot and was instrumental in locating the remote Ayore tribal people and pioneering the Ayore ministry.
Watching his parents’ 15 year service in Bolivia, their constant witness for the Lord and the way they genuinely loved the Ayore people, inspired Paul to follow in obedience God’s call to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel…”
The ministry of Faith’s parents was also pivotal in her decision to serve God with her life. Her dad, Ken Johnston, served in various leadership roles and for 41 years was on the executive leadership team.
Without question, watching her dad trust the Lord with his leadership responsibilities and seeing her mom faithfully supporting him, helped prepare Faith to serve alongside Paul.
