What does Christmas mean to you?  Family and giving gifts are two of the the words that come to mind at Christmas time.  We were able to have several celebrations of Christ’s birth this year.

There was a student Christmas party where we mingled and took lots of pictures.  The staff Christmas party gave us an opportunity to visit with our co-workers.  So many times we are busy in our individual ministries that we do not get much time to interact.

Sailor Mikey and JulieBoth of our families were in town this year. It was wonderful to eat, laugh and play together.

I don’t know about you but I get so excited about a gift I have found that is perfect for whomever is on my list.  I believe God is the same way.  He gave us the perfect gift over 2000 years ago when he came as a baby, lived a perfect life, died to pay the penalty for our sin, and then rose again on the third day just like He said He would.  When we accept His gift, we are adopted into His family.  I think that is something to celebrate.

Cowboy TreeSharing these truths with my girls this year have really made them come alive. Hope you were able to enjoy your family and the many gifts others and God has given you.
