It is comforting to know that you don’t have to do it all yourself. There are people God allows in our lives to help us in areas that we are weak or just need a hand in. On Friday, NTBI President, Rex Gutwein and I, along with our wives, met with Dr. Felix Aguilar and 32 of his students at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.
The objective of this meeting was to present the ministry of NTM as well as give an initial look into the issue we are facing with our current student records program(s).
Rex gave an excellent abbreviated history of NTM by demonstrating the passion of Paul Fleming. He then showed the work that remains to be accomplished in the area of tribal church planting by displaying a chart of the number of languages still without Scripture. Rex, summarized this need by stating that it takes all kinds of people doing all kinds of tasks to see that each one has an opportunity to accept Christ as their personal Savior. It even takes programmers.
I took the opportunity to demonstrate our need for a single student records program that would meet the need of all the training facilities in the states. I am excited about the possibilites facing us and the partnership we have with this group of students.
Pray for their learning over the next few weeks and that some of them might be challenged with the task of tribal church planting.
Nathan and Rachel Allen “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
