Great Birthday

What would be your ideal birthday?  I told Nathan what a perfect birthday would be for me and he delivered.

My ideal birthday is one with no responsibilities.

On the morning of my birthday Nathan woke up with our three girls and got them ready for the day.  After he fed them breakfast, he cleaned everything up (including emptying the dishwasher and reloading the breakfast dishes). These may seem like a small thing, but to me it was so wonderful to wake up to a clean kitchen that needed none of my attention, but I have gotten ahead of myself.  Before I got out of bed, Nathan whisked all the children away taking them to Cabela’s to help pick out my present.

I woke up at my leisure, was able to have a quiet breakfast with no interruptions and spend some time in the Word.  Later my cousin, Beth came over to wish me happy birthday and we were able to chat uninhibited.  It was a marvelous morning.

Nathan and the girls came home at noon.  He made lunch and cleaned it up.   At 1:30 my friend April took me out for dessert and fellowship.

In the evening we all went to an acrobatic show with clown magic and a “strong man”.  To top the day off we spent the evening playing a game with our good friends the Ellis.

I just wanted everyone to know what an amazing husband I have.  Not only is he a great husband, but also an awesome daddy.  Thank you Nathan for a great 27th birthday!
