Our vison the world, our field Brazil

About

Though support ministry could be considered by some to be mundane and ordinary (and indeed it is sometimes) we have had the opportunity to be actively involved in challenging, evangelizing, and discipling in many lives.  Being involved with the MK school ministry we have actually had a part in training and challenging our own co-workers.  Some of those who were first our students or our "dorm kids" have gone to NTM training and then returned to work with us on the field.  What a blessing!  Our desire is that in our lives the students would find role models of Christian conduct and commitment that would challenge them to live Godly lives that will count for eternity.

Outside of the school we are involved in evangelism and discipleship with friends we have made in our small town.  Using the chronological Bible teaching method we have had the privilege of seeing dear Brazilian folks come to understand the Gospel message and accept Christ as their Savior.  Then continuing in the Word they are discipled to walk with Him and witness of His salvation offered to all.  We fellowship at a small church  (about seventy five regular attendees) who for the most part have come to Christ through this type of Bible study led by missionaries or national believers.  The church’s most recent baptism was in April with twenty two being baptized of which five or six had studied with us.

In Brazil, NTM has a sister organization MNTB (Missao Novas Tribos do Brasil) which has an equivalent training program for Brazilian Christians wishing to join us in the ministry of tribal evangelism.  Another part of our ministry has been to be involved financially and in prayer with some of these Brazilian co-workers as they are laboring in the tribes of Brazil and Mozambique.  We have had the privilege, too, of visiting some of these works and seeing first hand what God is doing in these places.
