:: OUR TRIP TO BRAZIL ::
Destination: Peniel Bible Institute in Brazil
Purpose: Visit 2 Paraguayans in missionary training and to challenge Brazilian students to work in Paraguay.

The Hill
In northern Paraguay, only kilometers from the Brazilian boarder lies a hill called the Black Hill by the Guarani people whom have inhabited the land for centuries. These Guarani, also known as the Pai Tavytera, claimed that the hill was inhabited by small monkeys with arrows, casting fear into the hearts of humans.
“When I first moved into this area, it was nearly an impenetrable jungle with only a few surrounding open fields” claimed Bob Goddard Jr., son of Robert Goddard Sr. a missionary pioneer with New Tribes Mission in Paraguay since the mid 50’s. Bob, also a missionary with NTM, had been living in a Pai Tavytera village thought to be the center of the earth; where he began to study the language and culture of the Pai people. (more…)
