Here at last!
December 27 th, trailer packed and ready to leave Michigan! After two full days of travel we made it safely to NTM USA home office.
It was a long journey, and we don’t mean just the traveling, but we are finally here.
We will be serving part-time and working on raising our support level the rest of the time. Once we hit a certain amount in monthly commitments we will change from part-time to full-time ministry.
Please be praying for our monthly commitments to reach the needed amount.

Preparing to leave!
October 11, 2011
Our “support raising adventure” has included many different phases, learning experiences and feelings. As we approach our time to leave in November we are full of all different emotions. We are beyond grateful that we are going to start serving at NTM USA Headquarters in full time ministry very soon. We have worked very hard over the last SIX years. We cannot believe it has been SIX whole years since we walked through the doors at New Tribes Bible Institute to begin our training. At times we have failed, been discouraged, sad, and stressed out. We are not perfect and never will be. We are grateful that God uses ALL people to HIS glory. We have also grown, changed, been encouraged, been loved and learned to love in new ways. One thing that has stayed the same is, our hearts are still heavy for the unreached people all over the world. We are sad to say goodbye to the people we love. We have seen how blessed we are by our family, our friends, our supporters, and our home church. The love and encouragement has been a blessing to our hearts.
We are excited to be serving with the men and women who make NTM function at 100%. NTM USA HQ is the main hub of all operations for NTM and their needs are great. We are honored to join their team and work together in serving our Lord.
Home Sweet Home!

Michael, Kali, Hudson, & Tessa
May 2011~
We recently returned from Texas and are happy to be home once again. We had a very eventful 4 months in Texas. We gained many wonderful friends, new financial and prayer partners, and worshiped at Crossroads Church during our time there.
Hudson has struggled with food allergies and respiratory problems since he was 11 months old. Since then we had mostly learned to manage his issues from home. On March 4th we had to take Hudson to the hospital because he was struggling to breathe. This is the fourth time Hudson has been hospitalized. This time was pretty bad. We spoke with the doctor in Papua New Guinea, and leadership at NTM USA Headquarters and agree that is best for Hudson and our family to stay in the states until he gets a little older.
Our plans have changed but it is clear to us God is directing our path. We have been invited by NTM USA Headquarters to join their team! We happily agreed and will leave to begin our ministry in the fall. We are honored and excited to be a part of reaching hundreds of tribes through serving at NTM USA Headquarters.
Our New Addition
A blessing in so many ways…
Kali was a little nervous for labor this time, and had asked friends and family for prayer. God answered that prayer with a very short labor and delivery. Kali labored for a total of 3 hours, and safely delivered Tessa Adele Regan on August 9th at 9:42am. She is very sweet, very soft, and very tiny. She weighted 7lbs 3oz and was 20 ½ inches long. We named her Tessa because it means “harvester,” and Adele was Kali’s grandmother, and it is also Kali’s middle name. Hudson was beside himself, and could not wait to see his new baby sister. He is very fond of her, and kisses her all the time.
April Update
Our plans have changed! We are unable to leave for our field this month because we are not at the recommended support level. We are disappointed, but we know that God will be using this time for His glory. We trust that the Lord will provide during this extra time that He has given us here in the States. We have been very encouraged that our support level has increased in the last 3 months. We pray that it will continue to increase quickly. We will keep you posted on our progress. Please pray that we the Lord will bring financial partners to get us to our recommended monthly amount.
We are moving! We have been extremely blessed by Mark and Judy Russ, they loved us and opened their beautiful home to us. Unfortunately it is time to move on. On May 15th we will be moving to the missionary house at Rives Baptist Church. We are very excited to be in a new place, meet new people, and discover new things. This is a blessing as the home will accommodate our growing family. We are very grateful to Rives Baptist Church.
Our family is growing! We are expecting a baby girl around August 23rd! We were very surprised that it is a girl, we don’t have many baby girls in our family. We are very blessed to have a new addition to our family.
Please be praying for us, we really appreciate your prayers and encouragement, we can’t do this without YOU! Below is an updated prayer list.
- Please pray that we will stay encouraged during our support raising.
- Please pray that the Lord will open doors, and provide new partners.
- Please pray for more meetings with people, small groups, and churches.
- Please pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy for Kali and our baby girl.
- Please pray that our five ministry “projects” will be provided for. (Airline tickets, etc.)

Please be praying that things will fall into place as we prepare to go. We are still in need of prayer and financial partners.
If you would like a prayer card please email us your home address, and we will get one in the mail for you. Please check back as we will be updating our blog often.
Moving Forward
Our summer ended beautifully, and fall began with an adventurous trip to upper Michigan. We went with Kali’s mom on a three day trip to Mackinaw City. We stayed in a cabin on Lake Michigan. We visited the Island, walked around Mackinaw City, made campfires, and played games.
We also took an amazing trip to Florida to visit Kali’s family. We were very blessed by this trip in so many ways. It was relaxing, rejuvenating, and most important we had quality time with our family.
We recently found out that Hudson has many allergies. We have been on a new diet, to avoid these things. Hudson’s energy has increased (which I am not sure it needed to) and we can tell he feels much better now. Please pray that he grows out of these allergies. This past weekend we celebrated Hudson’s SECOND birthday! We cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. He had a blast with his friends and family, but most of all he loved his allergy friendly cupcake with butter cream frosting.
Raising support has been a slow road, but we are staying encouraged. We would appreciate your prayers as we strive to reach our goal. We are very excited to start learning the national culture and language, and get involved with the people.
A Beautiful Summer
We were blessed with a beautiful and exciting summer! We had the opportunity to reunite with many of our NTM friends, not just on one but several occasions. It was great to be together again. We went to a Detroit Tigers Game, which they won. Hudson loves baseball and he had a blast watching the players on the field. We also had a family reunion at Binder Park Zoo. It was Hudson’s first trip to a large zoo. He still talks about feeding the Giraffes. We were able to see a family friend, Danielle Russ marry Tony Pyle. It was a beautiful wedding, and we had an amazing time celebrating with them. We went to the beautiful U.P. on a camping trip. We are still not sure if it was fall or summer camping, but that’s Michigan. We hope to end our summer with two little trips to see family and friends.
