Three Years at the Missionary Training Center
The Lord opened the door for me to come to the MTC in January 2009. Where has the time gone? Oh, so quickly! Please pray for the ministry being taught and lived out here at the NTM Missionary Training Center. Our goal is to reach the unreached tribes with God’s word and the salvation He offers.
Thought I would share some pictures with you from the campus. Hope you enjoy them!
Just a quick note – the picture of the family walking along the lake just happens to be my daughter, son-in-law and their two daughters.
Wishing you God’s blessings during this beautiful spring season!
Philippians 2:14-16 “Do all things without murmuing and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.”
Celebrate the Embera New Testament printing
The printing of this New Testament holds much significance for me and my family. When John Arnold, my first husband, passed away, I told the kids that their Dad would love to have his memorial gifts go to something with eternal significance. They suggested helping with the printing of a tribal language translation of the Bible. Having our connection with New Tribes Mission and the works being done in tribal languages by their missionaries, we asked for the next translation work nearing completion for printing. They responded that the Embera Tribe of Panama would be the work that met our requiements, so we decided to name them the recipients of all memorials gifts made in the name of John. We were so pleased to give these precious gifts to help with this work for the Embera people and the missionaries who worked for years to make this possible. I hope you enjoyed hearing about the Embera Tribe, seeing pictures of getting the New Testament to them and the dedication of the scriptures in their language. God is good and He is reaching many tribes and tongues through the missionaries who were trained and who are still going through the NTM Missionary Training Center, where I work. I am so thrilled to be here and be a part of what God is doing.
Thank you, dear friends and family, for you loving prayer support and to my church for their financial support.
May the Lord bless you and yours as we continue to worship and serve a mighty God.

Trip to the Amish stores in the area..
We had a great time shopping for bulk food products and trying out the handmade lawn furniture. We tried new foods, like veggie chips and good old fashioned ice cream. We found some really great deals and now we all know where to go back to when we run out of bulk foods, etc.
It was a fun day of traveling the hills, spending time together, and making friends. I feel very close to all the young couples. Two of the women are expecting, Sarah and Bethany, and Abbey is hoping to be soon. All are quite serious about their desire to go to tribal locations. These kids are all devoted to serving and are learning about church planting!
Jackie and Joe are their advisors for the 18 months they will be here in the training. Needless to say, I get invited to some of their activities, and I have enjoyed getting to know all of them. I will keep you informed of their progress through the next year.
We are all learning to make those dollars stretch, so carpooling and shopping at the bulk foods stores helped!

The NTM Missionary Training Center at Camdenton, MO…
In January of 2009, I moved to this beautiful lakeside campus in Camdenton, MO, to work in the Administratives Offices as an Assistant to the Registrar. I am a part of the training being done here to send missionaries to unreached tribal people groups. Here is the goal!
Millions of tribal men, women and children are isolated from the Gospel by a variety of barriers, including:
- Geography: Many live in remote, isolated parts of the world.
- Culture: Their worldviews, ways of life and ways of thinking are very different.
- Language: Many tribal people speak only their own language; most are fluent only in their own language.
Missionary training at NTM’s Missionary Training Center equips missionaries to be a part of the team that overcomes these barriers in order to plant a church.
