Great devotional and prayer.

I would like to share some lines from a devotional book called "THE VALLEY OF VISION" A collection of puritan prayers and Devotions.  On page 4 line 16-28; re-print 2007.  As you and serve the Lord, we understand more and more that it is the work that God is doing in us that allows us to see lives changed, and that blessed hope of life eternal.  Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (KJV)

"What shall I give thee for all thy benefits?

I am in a strait betwixt two, Knowing not what to do;

I long to make some return, but have nothing to offer,

and can only rejoice that  thou doest all,

that none in heaven or on earth shares thy honour;

I can of myself do nothing to glorify thy blessed name,

but I can through grace cheerfully surrender soul and body to thee,

I know that thou art the author and finisher of faith,

that the whole work of redemption is thine alone,

that every good work or thought found in me is the effect of thy power and grace,

that thy sole motive in working in me to will and to do is for thy good pleasure."

Challenge from the WOL Missions Conference 2009

Posted by in Uncategorized on Jan 26th, 2009 | Discuss This Post |   Share

Dr. Ron Bishop from SCORE INTERNATIONAL left two challenging questions with us that we all should prayerfully consider.

1.  What is YOUR MISSION?

2.  What are YOU going to do?

As you search the Scriptures, ask God to help you honestly answer these two questions about yourself.

Missions At The Airport 2009 (MATA)

Terry and I just met today with the team to start planning for MATA 2009.  Jungle Aviation And Radio Service JAARS has asked us NTM to be a part of this great event here in FL.  This will be our third year of representing NTM at the MATA event.  We talked about contacts and advertising the two venues.  We prayed for Safety for the pilots that will be flying the Helicopter and the airplane the event.  We also prayed for more Christian participation in Tribal Evangelization.  We prayed that Christians would be motivated to get involved in reaching tribes for Christ through Praying, Giving and Going.

Mt 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Mt 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

We pray that every Tribe, Tongue and Nations will have a chance to hear the good news Of Jesus Christ.

Re 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

Pary with us!

Word of Life Mission Conference Janruary 2009

Terry teaching one session of student.

Mission Conference at Word of Life - Hudson, Florida
01/16-18/2009

Terry and I had the privilege of representing New Tribes Mission at the 2009 Missions Conference at Word of Life Bible Institute. The speakers at the conference laid out the Great Commission from the Word of God. The stories from life experiences of the speakers helped relay how God uses men to reach the lost of the world. Dr. Ron Bishop, Dr. Larry Reeser, Harry Bolback, Dr. Joe Jordan and Don Lough each gave missionary challenges from the Word which were inspirational. Questions like” What is your mission?” challenged our hearts. Another message theme was “It is all about you”. Christ has chosen you to carry the Good News of salvation to the world – Acts 1:8.

Saturday night, singer and songwriter Steve Green ConcertSteve Green gave a concert singing many of his mission-challenging songs. How appropriate those beautiful songs were, touching each person’s heart.

Terry and I had two sessions with the students and shared the vision of reaching tribes for Christ in remote unreached areas. We shared a DVD presentation from the NTM team in the Moi tribe. The students caught a glimpse of the darkness, depravity and fear that tribal people live under without Christ in their lives. And they saw the urgency of the task of reaching these remote people groups with the life-changing Gospel. Many students had questions, and we made many new friends at the conference.

Terry and I also had the joy of speaking to a split group of students for their devotions on Friday night. Terry spoke to the ladies and Mark to the men. We took this opportunity to share our hearts about the realities of being committed to reaching the world for Christ.

At the end of the conference a majority of the students made public commitments to be missionaries or in full-time service for Christ. Terry and I talked to several students who are interested in tribal evangelism and church planting.Mark talking to student at NTM table at WOL Pray for these students as they now prepare for the work of the ministry as Ambassadors of Christ.
