Ben went to the US for 8 weeks during this time to work, get his US driver’s license, and spend time with relatives in SC and FL.  Ben is starting his senior year, and we are thankful for this opportunity for him to start adjusting to life in the US.

Josh missed his big brother, but he enjoyed some time with some of his friends during our school break.

We praise the Lord that we have received an abundance of rain this rainy season.  The past two years, we have had severe drought conditions.  Tribal people’s gardens have been scorched causing a lack of food. Many of our friends and neighbors are ranchers and farmers and have lost crops and cattle due to the drought. Everyone is so thankful that this year we have received a normal amount of rain.

We don’t have wells or a town water supply.  We have to collect rainwater in underground cisterns to last us throughout the dry season which usually runs from May to October.   We are thrilled that our cisterns are basically full!  Josh and his friends have also enjoyed playing in the rain and mud!

I go to an MK School (Missionary Kids). My favorite class is science.  This year in school we worked on an insect project.  I had to collect and classify insects.  So far, I have over 90 different species of insects.

We have neat Education Camps when all of our Paraguay MK’s get together for a week of learning interesting things and doing fun activities.

We have two dogs and one cat.  I love animals.  I like to play games with my family and friends.  I like to play Risk.  I enjoy Legos.  I like to play a Star Wars computer game as well.

It is dry and dusty where we live.  We collect rain water in underground cisterns.  We need rain!
