Serving in Paraguay with MK Care and Education

About

You ask, “How long have you been in Paraguay?” Well, we came to Paraguay back in 2007.  Before that, we lived in Panama.  Janet went to Panama in 1984 as a single to work in the NTM office as secretary and bookkeeper.  In 1988, Mark went to Panama to teach in the MK School.  During that time we were neighbors, and the Bible does say to “love your neighbor.”  So, after two years, we got married in Canada.  Mark completed his graduate studies in Educational Administration, and we returned to Panama in 1992.  Mark and Janet served in the MK School till 2006 as co-director, high school teacher, and dorm parents.

You may ask, “Why did you leave Panama?” Good question!  We are excited to tell you.  NTM Panama has worked in Panama for the past 60 years, and God has been faithful to build His Church.

[My webpage photos] God has used the lives of many people over the years to learn the tribal lanuagues, to translate the Scriptures and Bible lessons into the heart language of the tribal people, to clearly teach and explain His Word, to see people saved and discipled, and to see churches established.  Many different people have been part of the planting, watering, and harvesting of thousands of souls all across Panama.  God has brought the increase!

NTM Panama is getting close to accomplishing our specific goals and tasks that we set out to do 60 years ago.  Tribal churches have been established, and the tribal people are being equipped to reach the next generation.  Most of our NTM Panama personnel are leaving Panama to serve in other countries where still other tribal groups of people need to hear the Gospel.

Elementary PE class We served in Panama by assisting families with the care and education of their children and serving on the field leadership team .  The MK school is now closed, and we have moved to Paraguay in July 2007.

Since coming to Paraguay, we and our partners have established a field-wide educational support structure that includes a traditional MK School and homeschool assistance in order to serve the NTM families and over 50 MK’s.
