For those of you that haven’t heard, I (Tina) had a major scare last week Tuesday when I woke up at 5 am and was unable to move my left leg let alone walk on it. I had a vericose vein treatment done a week prior and throughout the healing process my leg kept getting more sore to the touch. Long story short, it was to the point where my pants touching my leg gave me unbearable pain. I knew something was wrong and I had many symptoms pointing to a major blood clot in my thigh. Luke took me to the ER and after much confusion on the doctors at the hospital it went from me having a life threatening blood clot and being admitted to the hospital to getting a shot in the stomach along with drugs that wouldn’t allow me to continue nursing my 5 week old daughter Eden, to finding out I had phlebitis. It was a pretty close second as to the pain of natural child birth. Please pray that my leg will continue to heal. I can finally walk on it again after 4 days of limping throughout the house. Thank you!

Blood Clot Scare – need prayer for healing
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012It’s Official AND It’s Official…
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Thursday, February 4th, 2010Well its official! Our foreign field where we will be serving once we graduate in May will be

Griffins join staff @ MTC!
A) Cambodia
B) Africa
C) Anywhere far and scary
Actually, it’s Roach, Missouri! That name sounds like a mission field! We have formally been asked to join the Development and Mobilization team here on campus and enter into the amazing staff family here at MTC. This means that we are in our last semester of classes and our full-time ministry will start in a few short months. Luke has been getting involved in his ministry and
meeting with missionary candidates regarding the finances needed to get to the field and how to build a partnership team. I have some upcoming speaking engagements where the opportunity to share about foreign missions to our younger generation will be the main focus! Through this, God has continued to confirm in our hearts that this is where we need to be.
The OTHER official news is that we have Griffin bambino #2 due at the end of August! Keep us in prayer as Luke is cooking and cleaning a lot more often now that I have been having rather nasty morning (afternoon/night) sickness. Thank you for being a part of our team!

Jake's cheerio addiction
I finally cut my first two bottom teeth and I’m crawling! Now I’m chewing on everything! You should see mom chasing after me throughout the apartment trying to stop me from leaving my mark.

Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Tuesday, August 11th, 2009I would have been crawling a month ago, but I live in the car seat. Being strapped down has altered my growth. Please pray that mommy and daddy give me a huge lawn to roll around on soon!

Prayer Requests
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Saturday, July 11th, 2009We need prayer that the last 3 weeks of partnership development are as productive as the first 5 weeks. We are exhausted from living on the road for the summer, but the relationships we have been building have definitely made it worth it! Please pray that we will have a restful yet productive next few weeks in Florida.
Please keep us in prayer that our sponsors will continue to grow. We currently have 1/4 of the financial support needed by mid August when school starts. Pray that God keeps us focused on Him and that we will TRUST that He will provide. We couldn’t do it without you
Please pray that the gas prices remain low!!
Prayer Requests
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Friday, June 5th, 2009A safe and speedy move from Waukesha, WI. to Camdenton, MO. This involves packing up our place and arriving at our new apartment 10 hours south and then unpacking in two days all with having a 5 month old. Please pray that we will keep walking with the Lord in the midst of the stress and pressures of moving.

daddy and jake checking email on the road
After we unpack we will be hitting the road for 9 weeks as we visit churches, family and friends. Pray that we are a blessing and an encouragement to those that we meet and that we will begin many long-lasting relationships.
Pray for Luke as he seeks to navigate his family through a long summer on the road. It is easy for tempers to get short and feelings hurt when you are living in a van for an extended period of time.
On the Road Again…
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Monday, June 1st, 2009Watch out for a huge Penske truck flying south down the highway early June. The Griffins are moving from Waukesha, WI. to the Missions Training Center (MTC) in Camdenton, MO. on June 3rd. This will begin the next chapter of our life. Since we had baby Jake, mommy and daddy had to ditch half of what we own to make room for the things Jake could live without
We are starting the next phase of schooling the second week of August where we will be united with sweet tea once again. We will be unpacking at school before our nine week travel schedule throughout five southern states. Our mission: to build relationships as we seek to partner with churches and individuals. If you will be near us, please give us a call! We would love to stop in!

Griffins Finally Graduate
Posted by Luke and Tina Griffin on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009
the Griffins with Tina's parents and brother
After thousands of hours of intense Bible study, Luke and Tina finally graduate from New Tribes Bible Institute on Friday, May 15th. Two years of in-depth study has helped us gain a solid foundation in the Word of God and given us good preparation for the next phase of schooling in Camdenton, Missouri. Tina had the opportunity to be one of the class speakers for the graduation ceremony. Luke made it possible for Tina to write the speech by preparing amazing meals and helping with baby Jake. It was bitter sweet to spend the last night saying goodbye to friends that have become so close they are considered family. Both of us learned a lot about what it means to put our spouse’s needs before our own throughout the first two years of marriage as well. God is teaching us so much about putting Him first and allowing Him to be in the driver’s seat.
