Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful…Okay, so I don’t have a fireplace, but the part about the weather is true! Merry Christmas from the wilds of Southeast Wisconsin. As I sit and write this, we are snowed in…even schools are closed today. It has been a very snowy December, and I’m especially happy to have my brother Nathan at school here to help dig my car out! Nathan and I will be meeting our parents in North Carolina for Christmas, and both of us are looking forward to a warm holiday! I’ll be returning to Wisconsin the first week of January, and he’ll soon follow to start his final semester at NTBI. I’m missing him already! It’s been so nice to have him here the past year and a half.
This past year has been one of change, but good ones. In May I left my job in the office for a year of furlough. I’ve been able to continue living in my apartment at the school, and really enjoyed the chance to get involved in many ministries at church and do some traveling and speaking. Despite the lack of a 9 to 5 job, my days have somehow still been really busy! I’ll be returning to my responsibilities at the school in May, and I look forward to seeing many of you in the next few months. I still have openings in my calendar, so if you know of a church, Bible study, conference, etc. that would like to hear about what NTM and our Bible School are doing, please drop me a line!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Laura (and Pepper too!)
