With the cancellation of SYIS workshops in Manila, that meant spending more time with our family in East Asia. We had a wonderful three weeks with them. Two birthdays were celebrated during those three weeks, Jacob’s the day after our arrival and “Nana’s” the following week.
During our visit, Lance was invited to speak to a group of believers on a Sunday morning. He challenged them that the Christian life isn’t hard, it is impossible! He was not allowed to take any photos, hence, no photo of that event. He promised that we would pray for them and we hope you join us in doing so.
Our daughter arranged for us to spend a day with a new friend of hers to see some old parts of the city. Since then, Laura has been able to give her some much needed encouragement via email. Please pray for Dantong.
So, as you can see, we have had a number of unscheduled appointments and even more since our return to Manila last week. Last Sunday’s message was “We are blessed to bless” and indeed that is what we have experienced. We are so thankful!
We are checked in for our flight to Hawaii tomorrow morning. Once again God has allowed us to stop over on our way home for some rest and hopefully be an encouragement to people we meet.
Thank you for your partnership, without which this trip would have been next to impossible. We will update you again when we are in Florida; we have some requests for which we are asking God and would appreciate prayer.
Secure in Christ’s love,
Lance & Laura
