This last week Jacqueline was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Please pray that we can find the right combination of diet, exercise, and medication to keep the symptoms under control.

We have a few days left to finish out the semester. We want to finish strong and then begin planning out next semester.

There are 2 new Korean Families (Lee’s and Kim’s) who just got their visas! They will be arriving around the new year. We are excited and looking forward to working with them.

Praise – We are extremely grateful for the opportunity that God has given us to be here as part of such and incredibly ministry. Our team is amazing and we feel like we are learning so much!

jared and leahJared is from New Milford, Pennsylvania. Leah is from Paraguay where she spent most of her life as her parents worked for many years as part of a New Tribes Mission church planting team. They are now engaged and planning to get married in May 2010.

Jared and Leah came here to NTBI (New Tribes Bible Institute) in 2008. They are both student leaders (RA’s) so both Jacqueline and I get to spend a lot of time with them, helping to prepare them for their future ministry. They plan to go overseas and be involved in Church planting with NTM after they finish their training. We are looking forward to another 6 months with them.

Jae and JoyJae and Joy are from South Korea. They have 2 kids under the age of 3 and 1 on the way! They worked for years as missionaries in China before discovering the incredible need for tribal missions. They left everything behind to come to the US to get what they believed to be the best missionary training available with NTM.

We have been working closely with them over the last 1 1/2 years, primarily with culture and language acquisition. They have graduated NTBI (New Tribes Bible Institute) and are moving to MO to finish their training at the Missionary Training Center in Jan 2009.

Michael FournierMichael is from Arizona. He came to New Tribes Bible Institute in 2006 unsure of what he wanted to do with his life. He simply wanted to get a solid foundation in the word of God. In his own words:

“As I began to understand what God is doing now, through the Church, how He’s wanting to share His Grace with everyone. And I began to understand New Tribes philosophy was and I really wanted to have a part in it, in reaching tribal groups that have no access to the Gospel.”

He graduated NTBI in 2008 and is currently at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in MO.

“Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free!” John 8:32

This is life-changing truth for all who accept Jesus Christ as who He claims to be. Yet there are many who still have not heard…

Fortunately for the Moi people of Indonesia they have recently been set free thanks to God and the work of New Tribes Missionaries. This is just one of many encouraging stories we have heard from former trainees of NTBI Jackson, Mi. We currently have around 200 students that we have the privilege of training. We are thankful that God is providing us the opportunity to play an essential role in producing stories such as this…

You too are playing an essential role in forging the Gospel in to the
darkness and helping to set the captives free!
