The long and short of it equals a prayer request.

We hope this update finds all of you overly stuffed with Christmas food and filled with great memories of time spent with friends and family, over the celebration of our Savior’s Birth.  As Shelbi and I are now packing for our move up north, we wanted to pass along a prayer request of ours.

Here is the deal, the Lord has blessed us with two vehicles a 88 Suzuki Samurai (which is great for around campus and grocery trips) and a 98 Nissan Pathfinder (our road trip/long distant vehicle).  Three days before we left for our Florida trip, we said goodbye to our Pathfinder.  It is actually a pretty cool “God” story on how we were able to be a blessing to another family and why we no longer have it. For sake of trying to keep this email short, I will spare the details, but we would love to share with you the whole story if you are interested.  Just ask.  Anyway, that leaves Shelbi and I with a 88 Samurai, that won’t go over 40mph going up any hill, and on a good long straight away might hit 60mph…when it’s empty.  In just a few days we are going to pack as much as we can in it (which isn’t much) and attempt and, trust me, I mean attempt (I don’t really know if it will make it) to make the trip to WI.   So our prayer request is for our trip, that the vehicle makes it, safely, and that we are able to get in it what we need for two months of living.  We also would be so grateful for your prayer that once we are in WI, we are able to purchase a more reliable vehicle.
