We got a new car!!! Actually, it was most definitely the Lord that got us this car, because we had pretty much given up looking and figured we’d just drive our little adventure on 4 wheels (the Samurai) around for a while. Once again, it’s an incredible God story – the man who sold it to us is an awesome Christian man who wound up getting saved through ministries at the church I(Shelbi) worked at, and he has a real heart for missions. He gave us an amazing deal on the vehicle, so we are so grateful to have a vehicle to drive now where your feet don’t turn into icicles, and we can actually fit more than 2 people in it at a time!
The Not So Good…
Our apartment in Missouri flooded for the 2nd time in 2 months. Last time we caught it early enough that there was no permanent damage, just a lot of wet carpet to air out and a nice wet dog smell for a couple of days. This time, with no one in our apartment or the one above, the problem wasn’t caught for quite a while and apparently there was quite a bit of standing water in our bedroom making it’s way into the living room. Praise the Lord, we store a lot of our stuff in plastic totes, but a few items we know are probably just done. The maintenance staff are fixing the plumbing and drywall, so we’ll see in March when we go back what the damage was. Ah, the adventures continue, even from a distance!
