Top ten things we learned on our trip.DSC00913 (Medium)

  1. The contents in the vehicle cost more than the  purchase price of the vehicle
  2. I haven’t driven with both hands on the wheel for that long since my driver’s test
  3. Who would have thought our 88 Suzuki would get better gas mileage then our 98 Nissan used to
  4. When passed by a semi on a two lane road, one’s prayer life matures
  5. When your vehicle has no insulation and a soft top, your only form of communication is yelling
  6. When your volt gauge tells you your alternator is no longer charging your battery, you have to turn off your heater (in winter!) so your battery doesn’t drain
  7. A small tall vehicle in windy conditions is the closest thing I ever want to come to riding a bull
  8. When you own an unusual car, then you add a tow bar hanging off the front and a luggage rack hanging off the back, and you can’t drive very fast, you will get looked, laughed, and honked at
  9. Fact:  Tucking in behind a semi will get you better gas mileage
  10. God wants Shelbi and I alive more than our vehicle does! :)

Thanks for your prayers!

Love,  Justin and Shelbi
