It is such an amazing feeling of joy and contentment knowing that we are right where God wants us to be, training here in Roach Missouri at New Tribes Mission (NTM). We have really enjoyed seeing how the Lord time and time again is supplying our needs through you- your financial support, prayer, friendship, and encouraging notes. We are constantly thanking God for you.
During our time here we will be doing outreach work in the surrounding communities. Bethany is volunteering at Medical Missions for Christ. Josh is working with recovering drug-addicts and alcoholics at a half-way house called "Light House." He is doing one-on-one discipleship with a 27 year-old man named Jesse.
Our training here will last for three semesters (graduating in May 2010). Afterwards, we plan to move to Indonesia. Our heart is to be a part of bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to a people who have never before had a chance to hear of Him. "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (Rom. 10:14) The Lord is doing amazing things around the world and He is using ordinary people to do it. It’s exciting knowing that God has called us to be a part of this.
