Josh and Mandi Brower Using Technology to Expand the Reach of the Gospel
Seth Gardiner Brower: 7lbs, 13oz, 21″, 1:11am, June 24th, 2010. Praise God! Mom, Father & Baby are doing well–Photos to come!
Ok, to bring ya’ll up to speed:
Early afternoon they redid the epidural, and it worked like a charm–Praise the Lord!
Because of Seth’s heartbeat, we had to drop the Pitocin back down to baseline (1mL/H), and start slowly increasing the dose all over again, which means that the rate of dilation decreased.
So here we are 23 hours in, dilated to over 7cm, and continuing to increase the dosage of Pitocin.
With the epidural kicked in, mandi is in great spirits, and currently trying to nap a little. Mandi’s mother and I are going to get some dinner, and get ready for the home stretch.
Hopefully my next update will be the finale in this current saga!

About 9.30am, after being dilated to 3, Mandi had her Epidural at 10.15am.
Unfortunately, it seems that the epidural isn’t giving her as much relief as we were hoping, so she is currently struggling through it–Just had a check, and we are now dilated to 4, and the Dr. just broke her water.
Over & Out.

Here we are 14 hours in so far…
Last night was pretty rough–early-labor contractions all night, starting at around 8pm, less than a minute apart-I was able to get about 2 hours of sleep; Mandi did not get any.
We started the Induction (Pitocin) about an hour ago, and she is dilated to 2cm.
Will try and post another update within the next 5 hours.
Thank you for your encouraging words & prayers!

Well, as the time draws ever closer (4 months now!), I have started to study out this whole idea of taking care of a baby. Thankfully, my father foresaw my inevitable confusion, and gave me the technical manual for a baby.

I have spent many an hour studying all sorts of things; from general maintenance, to selecting the baby’s service provider, and even how to activate sleep mode.
As for the whole diaper changing, my aunt, knowing that I didn’t have one, gave me a starter kit.

I have gotten the time to suit up down to 30 seconds. Not bad for an amateur, huh?
