Praise the Lord!  We can now rejoice with the saints and angels in heaven over those who gave a clear profession of faith in the saving work of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We are so excited to be able to share with you the good news that 21 Malaumanda boys and girls have given a clear profession of faith in Christ.  There were 12 younger children and those who had not attended the majority of the teaching who are still unclear.  We would pray that you would continue to pray for them.  Please pray for these new young believers as we look to see them grow in their understanding of the grace of God, all that has been made available to them through Christ.

One other praise we want to share is regarding Josefe’s wife Japena.  During the teaching of the kids, Eric and Josefe have been going through chronologically teaching her in the afternoons and Monday, after we finished the dramatization of the death, burial and resurrection, she too gave a clear profession of faith in the saving work of Christ.  This is a huge answer to prayer as we have been praying for two years (since Josefe married her as an unbeliever) that she would become a child of God.  Please pray for them as they left Tuesday to go to her parents village.  Both her parents are unsaved and Japena’s mother’s health is not good.  Pray that even as an very new believer, she and Josefe would have boldness to share their faith with her mother.

We have one week before we begin teaching through Ephesians.  Please continue to pray for Eric (our co-worker) as he finishes writing the lessons and for Eric, Bob (another co-worker) and I as we prepare for teaching.  We plan to begin July 10th.  We plan to teach mornings and evenings, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for about six weeks.  We will slow it down once we get into chapter 5 and 6.
Rejoicing,
John, Christina, Josiah, and Owen

(The Huttemans were Linguistics students of mine in 2005.  It’s so cool to have been a part of reaching these people.  All of you praying and giving were also a part.  Thank you!)
