Angela & I met in college. After college we married and moved to Wichita Kansas. We lived and worked there for 5 years before entering the training with New Tribes Mission (NTM).
Having grown up in Brazil, it’s like coming home for me. However, this is all NEW to Angela & our children. Thankfully NTM (and the Lord!) helped us prepare for all the changes. Now here we are in Brazil!
Currently we are serving at Puaraquequara (PQQ) boarding school for missionary kids (MKs)….and we are EXCITED to FINALLY be here!!!!
This semester we are working in a number of different ministries…Angela is the “Fruit & Veggie Lady” and working in the ‘business office.’ She’s also homeschooling Josiah for his Pre-K./Kind. year, being mom & wife, helping with outreach, getting to know & encourage students, helping with life guard duty and various other things.
I (Joel) am teaching 1st & 2nd grade Bible, 3rd & 4th grade Science, a Small Motors class to the high schoolers, another elective class for high school, helping out in the maint. dept., helping with outreach, life guard duty, being dad & husband, preparing the NEW Bible curriculum for next year and perhaps a few other things as well.
