Here goes my first attempt to try out this blog. We are presently continuing our Philippine ministries remotely (to a lesser degree of course) while we are on home assignment. We are also busy trying to prepare our three youngest daughters for living here in the US on their own, as we continue to prepare for our return to the Philippines. When we return, we will only have our youngest, Tony, with us. That will mean we will be leaving 6 of our “kids” in the US, right now spread over 3 states and 3 different time zones. At least the 3 youngest will have 3 of their siblings a bit closer then mom and dad. We have learned to trust our faithful Lord with our kids, and even have the experience of leaving our oldest 3, but even so we don’t do it lightly. We live in evil times, and our kids face an increasingly antagonistic world, especially towards Christians. The college environment is also a challenge in many ways. We trust God will be their Shield and Defender, but are also preparing them as best we can.
We have started some of the processes involved in our return, renewing passports, getting paperwork renewed, etc. We do have an advantage, since we are returning for our fifth term on the field and have done this before (though it does change a little almost every time). We still have much to accomplish before we return, and have yet to set a date. Please pray for our kids and that we would get all our plans together soon.
