Fitting into God’s plan for ‘Every Tribe, Tongue and Nation!’

For over 10 years now we have been on this path. Headed for something we only knew as ‘supply buying’. Anyone that know us will tell you, we just love to help, we love to do what we can to make life easy for others. Unknowingly that is all that Supply buying is.

New Tribes Mission is all about reaching into the unreached places on our earth. Not just in urban areas but more so in the most rural places on earth. To the ‘ends of the earth’ digitally speaking. Our focus is on People groups living in remote villages, some still untouched by modern life. We send teams of church planters to these places. They spend 24/7 with the people, learn the language, the culture. In someways becoming just as those people are, so that they can translate and teach the Scriptures in the most clear way possible.

The Lord has led us here to Indonesia to be the servants to these servants working among remote people groups. We literally are their connection to the outside world. Unless its grown, hunted in the jungle, or fished from a local river, it must be flown in. Most of the places these folks work have no roads. Their ‘station wagon’ is a plane or ‘heli’, that brings their groceries, mail, or whatever. It is our job to coordinate, purchase, and get all their needs to them. Without us these families have to leave their homes sometimes for a week or more, in order to gather all they would need to live for a month or two. Costing them and the people they work amongst valuable time. Literally the time between ‘Life’ or eternal death!

Here is an example, we received an email in which we learned of a Church Planter working among a tribal group in Indonesia where there was NO supply buyer. He journaled the time he used in buying supplies, handing in visa paperwork, or even to just getting his mail.  In one year, he spent 6 months away from learning the language and culture of the people group he worked in. Half of the year, so he could live in the jungle the other half!

We believe and see that God has raised us up for this job. It is our desire to meet the needs of our coworkers, giving them as much as possible, a life that is ‘normal’. It takes sacrifice for these tribal groups to here about Jesus. That sacrifice however is not just theirs or ours. We all have families and dear friends that desire our physical presence. We desire to find special things that make their home really ‘home’, whether that be a bottle of Coke or a fresh pork chop.  We all have chosen to be here, so that People who would otherwise never hear of God’s great love for them, can come to know their creator, who gave more than just His ‘time’ but His actual physical presence, to a race, to a people who killed Him. Yet they had to, so they could be set free from the death that is death eternal.

We also can’t do our job alone. It is you, those who God is using to ‘expand the reach of HIS good news’ to all the world. We have a team behind us that is financially and prayerfully making all of this possible. But there is always room for more. Maybe you would like to help? Here are some practical ways YOU can join our team!

1. Prayer. Without God we can do nothing. We need folks willing to uphold us before the Lord, Not only in our ministry but also in our daily walk and relationships. This is also away we want to be involved in your lives! We encourage and implore you to let us know what’s going on in your lives so we can pray for you as well.
2. Financial. Our Financial partners are necessary because, as members of a Faith based mission we receive no salary or “benefits”. Our Finances come from friends, family and Churches who desire to be a part of this ministry of expanding the Gospel to every tribe, tongue, and nation. 3. Encourager’s. These folks do just that! Those willing to send a letter, birthday cards, and mail now and then. Those even willing to meet specific needs, like setting up meetings to share our ministry, or finding places for us to stay while we are out sharing this ministry, or anything that you feel you would like to do. This can look any way, as it is unique to every individual.
