6 WEEKS and counting!!!

The girls are on an adventure hike around the lake at our NTM Canada home office.
We have started counting down the days to our return to our home overseas. August 14th is when we will say our last good byes to friends, family and America and hop on our first of many planes as we return to living overseas for the next couple of years. Our days are busy with preparing for the big day of departure. This means a lot of packing, sorting and buying. When we aren’t doing that, we are spending time with friends and supporters, doctor and dental visits and making memories with the girls. Time will fly by quickly, so if you want to get together, contact us soon!
Just last week we returned from our 3 1/2 week trip to Canada. We had a really good time visiting with my family and seeing the 3 churches that support us. Highlights of our trip included: swimming almost every day in Nanny and Papa’s pool, going to Canada’s Wonderland, going to the beach, seeing friends, some of whom we haven’t seen in 10+ years and spending time with family. Our travels took us all over Southwestern Ontario and once again the Lord granted us safety and provided for our needs all along the way!
2 RECENT TRIPS
INDONESIA

My trip to Indonesia was such an awesome time together with friends from our church in San Diego. We were able to see so many things and experience all sides of missionary life in a short amount of time. Our trip to an interior village was one of the highlights of the trip. We flew on a fixed wing aircraft as far as we could go and then we jumped on a helicopter that took us the rest of the way. We also were able to accomplish a fair amount of work considering not having all the tools we usually have at our disposal here in North America. Another obstacle was using materials that we aren’t used to using. These things taught us to be innovative and use what we have at our disposal. The Lord really worked in each of our hearts and created a deeper desire in each of us to be a part of reaching unreached tribal people.
TEXAS

Jaalah, Lexie and Maya amazed by this huge cactus
Just last week we returned from a two week trip to Texas. During the trip we were able to see 7 different families, some who we haven’t seen in over 10 years. It was an excellent time of reconnecting with supporters and their families. We traveled over 3,300 miles and all the kids did great, including Dylan. Our travels took us through Tucson, AZ then onto San Antonio, up to Dallas and then back across to Phoenix on our way home. We also had a chance to share our ministry with a Sunday School class that we had never been at before. It was a joy to worship with these believers who for the most part were unaware or the efforts of groups like New Tribes Mission. We are so thankful for an amazing trip, one we will always remember.
SHORT TERM MISSIONS TRIP – Less than a week away!
The Lord is so good. God has opened the doors for me to go back to Indonesia during our home assignment to lead a missions trip with a few guys from our church. We will be in Indonesia for 2 weeks assisting with a renovaton project while gaining a more in depth perspective of what tribal missions is all about. Pray for safety while we travel, pray for our families who we are leaving behind and pray that we would be a blessing to those around us and that this trip would be life changing for each of the guys going. Trip dates: March 7-22.
We are on the Web!
Once upon a time we had a website that we updated frequently and then we stopped it. For a period of time we were not to be found on the Internet, a period of silence. And now we are happy to announce that we are back and you will be able to find updates on our ministry and lives via this blog site. Our website/blogging experience could be described similarly as to how the Scriptures were revealed to man – first the Old Testament, then a period of silence, and then the New Testament! We hope that this site will allow us to keep you up-to-date with how the Lord is using us to bring glory to His Name! ENJOY!
