While we are trusting the Lord to take care of all our needs, financial included, it is good to consider the cost before starting something. To help do this, NTM Canada has an “Approved Ministry Budget” for our family. In order to have maximum impact in life, family and ministry, they recommend we trust the Lord for:
- $4000 each month for personal expenses
- $640 each month for ministry expenses
- $1,220 each month for benefits and taxes
In 2011, we averaged 55% in support, or $3,242 a month.

Missionaries pay 3.1 percent transaction fee. The fees that credit card companies charge for online transactions—3.1 percent of each donation—are charged to the ministry accounts of the missionaries who receive the gifts. You will still receive a tax-deductible receipt for the full amount of the gift.
