I am almost giddy right now. I just received the first part of an
application for someone wanting to join my team as a graphic designer.
Ya, I know, I shouldn’t get my hopes up. It might not work out. But I
have been waiting and praying for months, well, actually, years for my
Communications team to grow in this way. God works in wonderful ways,
and this might just prove it again. I met her on twitter, but she is
from Clinton
Speaking of coworkers, Norm is working out fabulously. I couldn’t have
picked a better coworker if I tried. Last week they got the keys to
their first home, and are spending a couple of weeks making it theirs
before moving in. As soon as they are in, they are leaving for
California to visit family and financial supporters.
Thanks for praying for our girls. All of them are over the bug. But
Angie took Lorelei to see a doctor for a bladder infection yesterday.
The conference last weekend was great. I was able to relax and unwind,
and catch up with a number of old friends. Angie did fantastic, and God
had a couple of her friends come over in the evenings to give her some
company.
I will be out of town again this coming Monday-Wednesday. Please pray
for Angie in my absense. Part of the Jungle Camp practicum is the Men’s
Hike. They drop us off in the bush 3 days hike south of Tobermory on
the Bruce Trail. It isn’t a walk in the park, well, maybe it is. But it
is hard. So I don’t go every year. I have to let the memories of pain
and exhaustion fade a bit. This year I am going as staff again. Angie’s
brother Sean is one of the students I will be hiking alongside.
Thank you for continuing to pray for a sensitivity to the Lord’s voice
as we prepare for a full summer of sharing our vision and passion for
reaching the unreached.
Enough about us. How can we be praying for you this weekend and coming
week?
–Jason for the 5 of us.
PS. please pray for our co-workers in the Morop tribe. Jim asked his
language helper, “Why do you tithe?” And he replied, “If we don’t, our
gardens won’t produce, our wives will find other men, we won’t have
children and our sago trees won’t have a good harvest. So we give to
God to keep Him happy and blessing us.” Check out the full story here:

This just brings something else to mind. Please be praying for Norm and
I as we work with our co-workers in the USA on a new website for NTM of
Canada.
Thanks for praying!
