Okay, so Tim was a little more hurt than just scrapes and bruises. As it turns out, he broke 2, maybe 3, bones in his hand when he crashed his bicycle.
It was the beginning of the week when Tim splattered himself on the bridge. That day he went and got x-rays, but there was no doctor to look at them.
So Tim and Kathy brought them home to look that them. Nothing looked wrong. By Thursday things were still not getting any better. The bruising and swelling continued to get worse. Tim found out that a missionary at the local international school was also an x-ray technician.
Yep, the bones were broken.
So on Sunday afternoon, before our flight to another region for meetings, Tim connected with a western doctor to get his input. Right there in the park, the doctor showed Kathy and Tim how to put a cast on someone’s wrist. In Indonesia, the supplies are available at the local pharmacy.
