NTM - New Tribes Mission | Planting Tribal Churches

After a two-year hiatus from the fun festivities of summer VBS at my home church, I am back at it again. Only this time I am married and Angie is joining in on the fun as well.

In previous years I had the privilage of helping to teach the Bible lessons. This year I am am helping out with the skits and helping to lead on the groups of kids.

This year’s theme is "Out of Egypt". Today and tomorrow I am the Prince of Egypt all morning long, and then later in the week I return from the wilderness of Midian to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

All of the kids are divided up into 12 groups — the 12 tribes of Israel. I am helping lead the tribe of Levi — 14 grade 5-6 girls today.

Angie is helping in the kitchen, ringing the bell when it is time for the kids to change stations, and helping out wherever else she is needed.

It is shaping up to be a very busy week. There were about 100 kids preregistered, with more showing up this morning.

Please be praying for us:

• Energy this week as we are busy each afternoon/evening in addition to the morning program
• Sensitivity to the Spirit as we interact with VBS leaders and kids alike
• That we would spend quality time with the Lord each day
• That our marriage and our daughter would get the attention they need
