New Part Time Job

Posted by Jared & Dieneke Henderson in Family on Jan 9th, 2012 | 1 Comment » |   Share

Two months after first applying for a job as a school bus driver, I finally have a license and a job. If I had known at the beginning that it would take this long, I’m not sure if I would have still pursued this line of work. And now that it’s here and I’m feeling the pressure of all my responsibilities, I fear I won’t have the time in the day to do an adequate job of Partnership Development. Rejoice with us that God is providing for our family’s needs, and please pray that I can still find plenty of time for ministry needs.

New Support Level Goal

Posted by Jared & Dieneke Henderson in Ministry on Nov 17th, 2011 | Discuss This Post |   Share

Each year, NTM reevaluates the appropriate support level needed for each particular country or ministry. Last week, we received the information for 2012. We plugged in the numbers into the spreadsheet, and received quite a surprise. Instead of aiming for $6,619 per month, we now are expected to raise $9,229 per month, an increase of 39%. Our promised support level, therefore, without changing the amount, has dropped from 18% to 12%. Because of this, and our slow progress, we have decided to postpone our departure to PNG indefinitely. When we reach 40%, we will decide on a new departure date. Of course, God is still in charge of providing for us, and this did not surprise Him. I am confident that we will go to PNG exactly when He wants us to go. Until then, please pray for us as we continue our pursuit of overseas ministry, and continue proclaiming in the local churches the need for the Gospel around the world.
