Michael, Jan, Doortje and Eloise

Dear friends, who have traveled with us, from Burkina Faso to Holland. After we drove around 7000 km in the ‘little house on wheels’ we arrived at our destination. Not without car problems, after Paris we had to drive with the frontwheel drive only. (The car is a 4 wheel drive car). But little by little the car start trembling more due to the frontdrive shaft which is weaker than the rear driveshaft. We arrived at our destination around 10 o’clock (see picture) at the NTM representation in Holland. The next day was going to be the NTM mission rally in which I, Jan was asked to give a workshop.

Our daughter Eloise and her husband Michael drove further home, but 5 km before they arrived the frontwheel drive shaft gave out completely and the last bit they had to be pulled to their house.

 Thank you very much for all your prayers for us, mails and thoughtfulness. We enjoyed all the things we experienced and are thankful that we were allowed to make this trip.

This week we’re staying with our oldest daughter, husband and our 3 grandkids, and it’s good to be here.

After that we’ll stay with Doortjes brother and wife, in their house. It’s great to be here again in Holland

Imagine, I have prayed to Allah my whole life. I have done all the things needed for my religion. I’ve even been to Mecca, and here come these people living in our village that are saying that nothing can save you. Nothing that you have done yourself can save you. We are all lost in our sin. One day I was sitting with John (one of the people that had come to our village) and asked him; “Do we need a passport to go to Heaven?” John replied: “Yes, in a sense we do. The passport that we need has to be signed by the blood of the greatest sacrifice ever brought in this world. That is the only way we can enter into Heaven and stay with God for ever.” There is no need for another sacrifice. This is the sacrifice that was brought to take away all our sins. Praise God, He was the one that brought this sacrifice for us.
