When we got off the airplane on Nov 23rd in the Philadelphia, USA we never would have imagined all that God had in store for us over the next 8 months! Wow! God has certainly provided for us, encouraged us, loved us, taught us, blessed us and strengthened us since we have been in North America… on road trips through the US and Canada, visits to family in the US and living in Nova Scotia for the last 5 months! And we are excited to watch Him continue working in us as we prepare to leave our home in Nova Scotia August 31st and move to our new home (for the next 5 months) in Massachusetts. We have connected with many friends, churches, family and supporters. And we have enjoyed meeting new people, making new friends and watching God open the minds of many people in regards to missions and all He is doing in Papua New Guinea!
We will enjoy our last two weeks as we continue to share about Papua New Guinea in churches each Sunday. And we also have many opportunities to get together with family, friends (new and old) and supporters. It has been amazing to watch God work during our time here in Nova Scotia… enabling us to rest, process and heal as well as provide for us in ways we never would have imagined!
It has also been very encouraging to watch God open doors and give opportunities that we could never have imagined. It has really confirmed in our hearts that God wants us back in Papua New Guinea as we have seen Him continually provide for our needs and open doors for us to return. It is such an confirming and confidence building experience to watch God guide our steps as He promised. So we can look forward to whatever He has for us. Even though we don’t know what God will do in the distant future. He provides for us in a way that lets us trust Him for tomorrow because we know He will lead and guide our steps. And He slowly leads us to trust Him in the distant future as He provides and shows us His glory in the present and how He weaves our lives into a pattern that displays His glory.
Thank you all for praying for us as we share what God is doing in the Sepik of Papua New Guinea. Please let us know if you would like us to stop in for a visit while we are home, or if you would like us to share in your church, small group or Sunday school class. We just have two more weeks here in Nova Scotia. Then we will be in MA from September 2016 through January 2017.
