This week Elissa, a friend from Interface, came to visit us! It is always so good to enjoy the fellowship of good friends and be reminded of God’s goodness. We are reminded of how privileged we are to serve here in Papua New Guinea and to know that God is in control of everything! Elissa was roommates with Beth when Beth received the email from Jacob asking her to “court” and eventually to marry him. So it is so good to think about the last many years and remember all that God has done in our lives despite the crazy situations that we find ourselves in sometimes. 🙂
It has been another challenging but good month as we saw God work through us in His timing to do all that He had for us! It has been challenging because there are many jobs that need to be done here but only a few people to do them. There are many missionaries getting ready to go home for their Home Assignment in the next few months so things are only going to get busier. However, this week our new coworkers will arrive, so God is providing people to take over the jobs!
Last weekend we had the privilege as God’s children to celebrate Christ’s Resurrection. After watching the episode on the tv series, “The Bible”, we were reminded that we are very connected to what happened so long ago. Every day of our lives and our eternity rests on the fact that Christ has risen from the dead, taking our sins away and giving us a new life by living within us. He is working through us to accomplish His will for His glory every day!
Thank you so much for your interest in what God is doing way over here on the other side of the world! Thank you for all your prayers and support! We are thankful that God is in control of our days. Even in the chaos when nothing seems to be getting done, God has it organized. And everything will be done in His timing which will bring the most glory to Himself!
