This just in from the Western Pacific Islands: David W. asks us to pray!
In about 3 hours from now we will be presenting the death burial and resurrection to our workers here. (This was yesterday (February 12)—Pray that even today the Word of God will convict and convince these dear people of His Love and sacrifice for their sin.)
This is taking place in the L__p__o village. This is near where many of our buildings are located. (The school, offices, housing, from the Highlands Region). These dear national workers have been exposed to the Gospel for many years as the mission has worked there. And NOW, finally they are hearing the entire Chronological Presentation of the word of God!!! )
As this comes to mind just pray for them as they process what they are taught that God’s Word will penetrate their thinking and that they will choose to follow the truth. These people face opposition from religious cults in the area, and may have religious ideas that would cloud their thinking. Pray they will understand and believe.
Thanks for standing together with and partnering with us through prayer! You are a vital part of our team.
David and Robin W-
We want to thank you, too, for your partnership with us as we serve here in Sanford at the US Home offices. Our jobs allow many of these dear missionaries the freedom to serve in other countries, and share the Gospel in the heart language of many people.
On Monday we “launched” our second daughter (Debby) and her family (husband-Brett; Chloe (6) and Lily(3). They are headed out to Managua Nicaragua to begin language study in preparation for a church planting ministry in Na__r__e a small town near the capital. Please pray for them as they go. Good byes were not easy, but did go well, and as we wanted, the experience seemed to be a positive one for the grand-girls!
Amy, daughter #1 (from Mexico) is visiting for a couple of weeks to say goodbye to her sister. Her husband wasn’t able to complete his green card interview due to some medical testing that the consulate doctor wanted done at the last minute. He checked out fine with his doctor in Chihuahua, but the consulate’s Doctor is requiring a culture which will take 10 weeks to grow! God’s timing is perfect. We do not understand the bends in the road, but He has a Plan!
David and Tim were home for a week. We had a grand time with all 5 kids home, AND Grandma and Grandpa. Full house, but lots of fun!
Thank you for your prayers, support, and your fellowship in the Gospel of Christ! We appreciate you!!
