We recently got back from a two-week visit to West Brazil. What a great experience for us, especially to experience together!
We spent our first week in the city of Manaus, which is home to NTM’s West Brazil office. Our time in the city was spent exploring, which meant lots of walking, experiencing the culture, talking with veteran missionaries, and meeting with some of the leaders there.
Gabriel was able to set up the paper work for our Brazilian Visas, which was a huge blessing. (More about our Visas later)
Our second week was spent at the school for missionary’s children. The school is on the edge of the Jungle and the Amazon River, quite the contrast from the city. Our future co-workers Kris and Mary-Jane Howe were also there. It was great to spend lots of time with their family.
More than anything, the trip solidified in our minds the desire God has put on our heart to reach the un-reached in Brazil. We are more excited then ever to head down there, in January of 2008, Lord willing!
