But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.”
Matthew 28:1-9 ; Mark 16:1-8 Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-10

Easter is a favorite time of year for us. We so appreciate remembering when Jesus died, and then rose from the dead on the third day. We are very thankful for the forgiveness of sins we have because of His sacrifice.

New Zealand Trip: As we have already shared God greatly encouraged our hearts during the month of March. God provided all the remaining funds for our tickets to New Zealand (N.Z.), AMAZING! Praise the Lord!!! Thank you to everyone who prayed and gave towards meeting this goal. We are now busy preparing for our time in N.Z. We are looking forward to spending time with family and friends but we are also looking for opportunities to share our ministry in churches and small groups. We still do not have accommodation but we have a good deal on a rental van.

DEAN
General: I’m glad that after installing the part my brother sent me there is now no gas fumes smell in my Ford Escort station wagon. The church stewardship committee voted to hire a new youth pastor. I continue helping in the youth ministry and I’m enjoying serving with the new youth pastor. My English composition class is winding down, I handed in my research paper last week and my last class is tomorrow. The audit is in progress for this year at New Tribes.

TUTI
General: Another praise is I now have a new computer. It is called a tablet computer, the iPad2. It’s very helpful for Dean & I to both be able to do computer work at the same time. We praise God that we are all healthy again. I’m very relieved that the new pill that I’m on for my hormone imbalance problem seems to be working fine. I do believe that the lifestyle changes I’ve made and the herbal tea I’m drinking everyday is also making a positive difference as well. The missions committee at church held a yard sale & bake sale on March 24. The yard sale raised almost $900 for missions, Hooray! The first Thursday of the month I and 3 friends get together for international fellowship group. This month we focused on Easter and decorating eggs for our families.

CARISSA, VERONICA, LEVI & MARIAH
School: I, Carissa was feeling quite nervous about the FCAT exams at school but I’m happy to report that they are over and I think I did very well. I was happy to see that I got all A’s on my latest report card. I, Veronica am happy that I’m getting better at reading and learning my sight words. I, Levi am happy to be learning to read, I know most of my sight words and I can do my homework every week now.
I, Mariah am still learning to go to the potty/toilet everyday. I still enjoy going to my class at Bible Study Fellowship every Tuesday. I like playing with my friends and with my sisters and brother.
General: Veronica and I still like the Bible study Mom is doing with us in the evenings. We also like playing games in the evenings. I, Carissa had been practicing a lot for the Church Easter program. I performed a puppet play and a stick dance. I, Veronica had been practicing a lot for the Easter program too. I performed in the same stick dance as Carissa. I, Levi am happy to not have a cold anymore. Dad took me to the Doctor and he said I have a problem with constipation. I have to drink apple juice and take some medicine every day to help me with that. I, Mariah am happy to be over my cold too. I was bitten by a lot of fire ants, it really hurt. I’m getting better from my bites. It is hot again now so we have been going swimming, yay!

- Dean as he finishes his English composition class; that he would pass the class and get a good overall grade.

The kids thought it was funny that the angel was so big. My excuse was that angels in the Bible are portrayed as men, they are powerful and terrifying.

DEAN
Church:  I joined the church’s financial stewardship team, which oversees the church’s budget and finances. On Wednesday nights I’m helping out with the youth ministry as a small group leader. God is doing some exciting things in the church. This past Sunday, March 4 the church held a community outreach event called “Family Fun Day”. We appreciate the way the church reaches out and helps the local community.
School:  I started attending Seminole State College at the beginning of the year. My English composition class is the first class I am taking with the goal of achieving my Associate of Arts in Accounting degree. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a 10 out of 10 for my first essay.
NTM:  Work in the accounting department at New Tribes Mission’s home office has not slowed down at all. I have been busy doing the following (plus many other tasks):
*     Preparing for the annual audit
*     Assisting the tax department
*     Doing 2011 year-end reconciliation and adjustments
*     Making 2012 year opening adjustments
*     Updating Missionary support Levels
TUTI

Church:  Dean and I enjoyed some time alone together for Valentine’s Day. Our church hosted a “Valentine’s Day dinner & movie night” with free babysitting. Last month for our monthly meeting the international fellowship group that I’m involved with highlighted the theme of love and 1 Corinthians 13: 4-6 . This month I hosted the meeting and focused on the Persecuted Church. The missions committee at church that I’m a part of is gearing up for some fundraisers to help two teams going out this summer on mission’s trips. One team is going to Mexico; the other team is going to a Navaho community in Arizona.
CARISSA, VERONICA, LEVI & MARIAH
Church:  Carissa, Veronica and Levi are excited about the Easter program coming up. They are busy practicing for that every Wednesday and
Sunday. There will be a new stick dance, a puppet play and a regular play.
