The passengers filed down the stairs from the just-arrived airliner to the buses waiting on the tarmac. Each wore the government-required surgical mask & gloves. Disembarking at the terminal, each was subjected to an electronic scan to detect Swine Flu. Such was our welcome to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on our way to Paraguay.
Over the past several months, the Lord has been exercising our hearts concerning our family’s specific ministry once we finish language study. As a result, we wanted to let you know what has been transpiring in our lives.
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in Mexico almost three months already. To say we love it here would be an understatement!
We’ve had several friends ask, “Since you & Sherri already speak Spanish, why do you need to go to Mexico to study Spanish?”
What a whirlwind summer this has been for the Pryor Family. It seems like we just finished our training at New Tribes’ Missionary Training Center in Missouri & arrived here in Texas. Yet here we are this morning leaving Texas & moving to Chihuahua, Mexico for a year of language study!
We made it! On May 16th we completed our training at New Tribe Mission’s Missionary Training Center!
As we began the candidate process to join New Tribes Mission, many people asked why we, as veteran missionaries, had to go through training to work with New Tribes.
The initial answer seemed obvious due to New Tribe’s unique ministry — but it wasn’t the complete answer.
It is said that first impressions are often the most lasting. We found this to be true in reference to our arrival at the Missionary Training Center (MTC).
