Yep. It’s today — Caleb’s 15th birthday. We have some special things planned, like swimming, miniature golf and eating out. Then in a few days David and Caleb are planning to camp near a huge spring and do some kayaking together.
Thank you for praying for Caleb. It has been a tough year for him. His stomach ailments remain without a clear diagnosis, although many serious things have been ruled out. His doctor has encouraged him to eat, even when he doesn’t feel like it.
We are buying nutrition drinks to supplement what he does eat, and he has managed to get back five of the 15 lbs. he previously lost. Please continue to pray for Caleb’s health and spiritual growth.
Kristia could also use your prayers as she looks for another doctor to help her manage Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. We are very thankful that she is able to do so much more than when initially diagnosed 8 years ago. Budgeting her energy and coping with chronic pain is still very difficult.
It is such a blessing to hear from Katrina regularly. She wrote last night about her experience at Interface, “I guess I always say this, but through all the classes here you just learn how little and weak you are and how amazing God really is.” Thank you for continuing to pray for her time in Papua New Guinea.
David can’t write about much of his day-to-day work because it involves keeping missionaries safe through what is NOT said. However, along with managing NTM.org content he is also the main administrator for NTM’s Facebook, YouTube and Tangle pages.
Please pray for David and his team as as they are in the last stages of moving 500 missionary websites from an “in-house” system to a platform that is being commercially developed. More about that and the Bible teaching and discipleship David is involved in an upcoming update.
David and Kristia Abbott your connection to tribal missions
