unsung heroes

Posted by David and Kim Field on Monday, November 1st, 2010

All the moms and dads who are students here get the privilege of having their young children in the ntbi childcare program.

The group of staff ladies who are responsible for these children every morning are really heroes.

Their ministry is so huge and important! By providing faithful love, care and fun to other people’s children every day, many parents get to attend classes while they know their children are in the hands of amazing women.

We praise the Lord for NTBI’s childcare workers, and we know the Lord will have His own special way of thanking them one day.

400 hands make light work.

IMG_8280These last two days of the school year the students spend the morning cleaning the campus. WHAT A HUGE HELP THEY ARE!

From planting grass & flowers to cleaning classroom carpets, and everything in between! This place will be dazzling just in time as the parents and families are beginning to arrive for graduation this Saturday.

Quick thought: Today I saw a student breaking up chunks of ground to lay sod, and I thought of my friend who is working in a tribe in Papua, Indonesia. She & her co-workers are learning their language and helping the tribal people build an airstrip. I have seen pictures of her in the dirt breaking up the ground with sticks. All with the goal of  those lost people hearing & believing the gospel.

I wonder how many of these students will one day be breaking up the ground in a tribe.

What does eating a brownie have to do with Missions?

Brownie time!

Brownie time!

In the CLASSROOM the students study the Bible, and learn about God’s heart for the world to know Him.

They depend on the Holy Spirit to apply IN LIFE what they are learning in class.

In DISCIPLESHIP we get to spend time with the students listening, and showing them how to depend on the Lord for whatever is happening in their life.

When they come to our house for a visit (and a BROWNIE), we get to talk about how a life of dependance on the Lord is the only way to have any eternal impact on the mission field….or in life.
